I was wondering if I could maybe have my account put on "hold" for a bit because I don't have internet at home right now and I'm far to busy at school to make significant posts. If it is possible I'd like for my account to be "shut off" but not deleted until I get internet back at my house.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. If you're going away for an extended period, make a backup of your site through Direct Admin or FTP . If your site is deleted, you will be able to re-request your account and then upload the backup so you won't have lost any data.
