Your Identity!!!

What is your identity? Is it your name? Is it your work? Is it your family? Is it your friends? What is it??

I believe your identity is the real person you are....deep inside. It is said that a person has three faces. One, which the world sees him as, other which he sees himself as and finally the one which he really has. This, the final one is his real identity. The person who is able to realize this fact is indeed someone who has accomplished one of the reasons of coming in this world as a human being.

There are lots of factors that affect us in making us who we actually are. It is very important for each one of us to be in the right place doing the right thing in order to save our identity. It is very important to realize that we all have to do something after entering this world and before leaving it. That might be a very small deed but that really doesn't matter. The thing that matters is that we should feel good about ourselves and should not feel useless.

There are so many people in this world who go away unnoticed by many and few who are remembered forever. This is something that depends from person to person. I am not saying that being famous is equivalent to creating your identity. What I am saying is that after coming in this world, we shouldn't let our life go worthless. The most important thing is to satisfy your own soul.

My Identity: an irony between the appearance and the conscience within you.
The way people see you, receive you, discard you, take you, give you... these are all the interfaces... the front that is visible to the world.

It is however slightly related to the realm within you. the identity - the real identity lies within the person and the within himself. the appearances are the feeble reflections of what is going within.

Thus i say, the identity is 'within' - within us. The soul is the bearer of this identity.

how are we suppose to find the identity if it is within people.. why aren't people being evaluated with the identity that is within us... why do people always go for what others says.. what is it called for the identity that people sees in us.. or the one that we want others to see... I hope somebody here is going to answer my questions... I agree with what all of you say .. but I just have some questions..

I would think your identity is how you are identified.

Your identity is what makes you individual, if you were the exact same as someone else then you would have no identity.

Then, as already noted, you also have two identities: Your physical, finger prints, DNA, image. And your "real" identity, who you are in all aspects, what makes you you.

Swapnalokam, people don't evaluate you by the identity that is within because on the physical plan it is the physical that people care about. They judge you by what other people say because it's natural for the individual to buff himself up.

Identity is hard to define. it encompasses so much. but i think it is physical, mental, emotional, and external/social characteristics that make us different. it is based on genes, but shaped and evolved by our experiences and environment. it is real, even tho people may try and hide/ change their outside appearance, which is not their true identity.
