Crash course in PHP and MYSQL

I an looking at creating my own web based game like the original outwar. the problem is after hours searching google I have not found a free script for it and dont know how to script with php and mysql.

Im thinking that I can fake a lot of it but the main things I am trying to pull off is:
Having a user system
Having a secret link system
A storefront/Item shop
and a Clan system

If I can get some help it would be nice.

Learning PHP is a worthy goal and I hope lots of people write lots of PHP games... just not this one. Ugh. A game based on getting as many unsuspecting people to click a link as possible? The only way I'd play a game like that is if the backstory had some kind of Slashdot Troll and/or GNAA theme... because, you know, it would be appropriate. Like, you get points for every person who clicks on your "Debian ISO" link and gets "Goatse" instead.

Hmmm... I bet GNAA would write a game like that for you if you gave them the idea. Because they're ******.
