Can anyone tell me how we can check if our landline or mobile phones are bugged? Are there any devices to scan for other people intercepting your calls? Are there any detectable signs, like delays, echoes, volume changes, etc?

Why do you think you're being bugged?
I don't think I'm being bugged but I think someone I know is being bugged in their country. It is not uncommon for phones to be bugged in that country.
Well, to tell you the truth, the way you check if your being bugged depends on the type of phone system that country is using. If you live in a country that still uses the old system like we used to use here in America, then it isn't that difficult. Where if you live in the states, we have a newer system in place so its harder to do that sort of stuff. As for details on how to do it on either system, i couldn't begin to explain it.
