Bush "Plays Dirty Trick" Declassifies More NIE

S3nd K3ys
Expect howls of rage from the Democrats any minute now:

President Bush is counter-attacking attempted lies by Dems by de-classifying a lot more of the National Intelligence Estimate, so the American people can see for themselves what the facts are! Shocked

http://insidestraight.typepad.com/the_inside_straight/2006/09/will_bush_play_.html

Pelosi tried to take Congress into secret session to delay or block the declassification. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Conservative talk show radio hosts are already showing how the NYT "cherry picked" ONLY the parts of the report that they thought would look most damaging to the Administration. They left out entire sentences that told the whole story, or put that part of the report in context.

The report was certainly cherry-picked, but the only way to know the truth is by reading the actual document once it gets released. No use jumping the gun and claiming Bush has correctly called 'shenanigans' before he even releases the document.

Besides:
Quote:
Bush agreed with the report's conclusion that successes against the al Qaeda leadership had led to extremists "becoming more diffuse and independent" and that they were using Iraq as a recruiting tool.

But, he strongly disagreed with critics conclusions that the Iraq war was a mistake. "I think it's naive," he said.

If THAT's his justification for calling critics incorrect, then he's basically admitting the main issue at hand. Concluded fact, conceded to by the president, is that terrorism is growing "more diffuse and independent." Whether that makes Iraq "worth it" or not is a matter of value and opinion.

My call: both sides are lying, and will lie, to a certain extent. That's politics as usual. I'm going to read the document for myself and make up my own mind.

Why leave the other media out? Control of democratic societies requires an influence across all major media and news outlets (using subtle and 'built in' methods where possible, of course). Chomsky has demonstrated and explained this many times and I would recommend 'Manufacturing Consent' to anyone interested in media news and it's credibility.

Heres a link to a large exerpt from the book for cheapskates Wink

Just funny that Pres Bush releases this type of stuff during an election year and only when it is a few weeks away. If he was so sure of things why wait so long to clue in most americans. No I am not a democrat, I just find it hard to beleave in a person who only does things like this to make things easier for him self. If it is an active item I can see why you would hold back on the information till the situation is resolved, but since he has blocked this info till now, why not wait till after the elections to release it?

Agreed.

He also made the price of oil go down, causes huricanes, earthquakes, terrorism, global warming, global cooling, Al Gore, and Viet Nam. Wink

First of all, I am in no way a democrat, nor am I a republican. I'm generally on the crossroads on several topics, I don't find it healthy to actually classify your beliefs, because no two people beleive the exact same thing.

One thing that I, and aobut 78% of America (69% of the polled UN canidates) have in common, is that we all feel President Bush, and his cabinet, are absolute imabciles. However, while not looking at the topic just yet, i want to debunk just a few things:

  • The cost of oil has to deal with OPEC, which is NOT including Presidnet Bush, in any way, shape or form. Oil prices flucture largly due to Middle East money ******. That right. I said ******, because that's essentially what they are. They raise prices as they please, in order to fuel their own lifestyle. Trust me, if Bush had control of the oil industry of the world, the US wouldn't have a revealed national defecit of 4.3 trillion dollars. (thats how much they say, it's probably worse!)
  • Also, based on a recent poll, the numbers show that most people feel that this current republican-ran congress is simply not getting the job done, while the majority currently is voting for Democrats as their belief on whom would handle the war, nation debt, the econemy and MANY other topics much better than the current republican infested congress, they do agree that the Republicans could take terrorism more seriously. Which is probably true, afterall, they're the ones who spent every last dime on the war, right?
  • Osama Bin Laden, is not in Iraq, or, he is, but there is absolutly 0 evidence that he is there. This is a common mistake which had a LOT of people in America, and the world infact, confused, because one day we were in Afganistan(sp) and the next, we were bashing skulls in iraq. People naturally assumed that we had just cause, as we were "waging war on terror" I love the sentiment, but the cause is essentially worthless. Humans will be homans, evil will do evil, and there ain't a thing an army can do to stop them. A slient approach which disconnects crime families and all the ties that a terror group uses would be much better then invading a country, destroying it's government, and placing a democratic point of view on a clearly theocratic people. Foolish, and dangerous.

  • Osama Bin laden, the man who coordinated the destruction of the WT Towers, has never spoken with Sadam. Common misconception, but they're in no way affiliated with eachother. not a single damn way. I like how this secret agenda wnet over so flawlessly, that just now, many people of the world are beginnign to see, and conceptualise just what this government has done to it's people, econemy, and world standing. I feel no shame in saying that my move to Britan was a wise one. I would never move back untill someone with enough brains than Bush, a man whom choked on a pretzel, fell of the white house balcony, and fell off a seqway (seriously... how the HELL do you fall off of a segway? I TRIED to fall off a seqway, and I couldn't. Literally, I found a friend who had one, and tried a hundred ways (atleast) to fall of of one... I put a big rock in front of one fo the wheels, and it corrected itself.) Bush can't speak english, much less rule country, I am so displeased with his 'reign of terror' that after all I ahve seen, and reserched about his hidden agenda of personal gain and want, that i must commend him for one thing- being able to conceal his deeds and plans for so long.

Now is when I talk aobut what I DO NOT mean when I say this:
  • I do NOT meant hat I am against tthe democratic way of life. I am, however against the electoral college who brought this ess of a man upon us.
  • I am NOT in disagreement with the Americna way of life. Capitalism is awesome, don't get me wrong. But a capitalist country simply doesn't need to place other 3rd world countries before itself... there is NO POINT to it, and it contridicts the American way of life... which is, essentially, to get rich, or die tryin'.
  • I do not wish to display any anger towards the United States military, what they do, they do DAMN well, and the army can only be as resourceful as they have been taught. The fact that these people were flung into a country with minimal tohught process behind the action, and ahve managed to keep the death count below 5,000 is rather astonishing. It is the reason who theit superiors have sent them to battle, which truly burns my egg.
  • I Do not, in any way, condone the evil acts of terrorism, however, neither do I condone the WAYS the US government has chosen to fight terrorism. The the USA asked for help, and just about every country reviewed the plans thoughtfully, and then declined any part... should have tipped American off that perhaps... their plan was flawed and thought of hasily by an incompetant moron. The Ex-secritary of defence, mr. Rumsfeld was about as bright as a New York Ally at 2 AM during the power outage. Rice ain't much better, but that's a story for tomorrow.

I apologise to any with conflicting views, however, if you are so cofident in yuor views, I would strongly urge you to seek out news articals which may shake your belief, I was once a fool who thought everytihng America did was for the better... that tohught process is nothing but moronic, and I strongly plead anyone with contricictions to my views to seek out the truth, or atleast gain enough information to where you can see both sides. America is dieing, and it's about to go the way of Rome.

    Anticollie.

PS: I apologise for the hastily written form of this post, I do intent to edit for spelling at some point, but I must be on my way to a meeting now. Thanks for understanding, I hope it's atleast legible.
