If God is real, does anyone know how long he has lived for? Or what he looks like? or if he is interested in women? How come people suffer and he doesn't stop it? Thanks, Dan.

Oh yes... God is very real indeed.
He has lived for as long as anyone can remember. and of course he's interested in women... how else would Jesus be here God will strike you down with great wrath and cast you down in the fiery pits of hell where you will be scalded and eaten alive by wasps and left to rot in your raw flesh for all eternity... but he loves you  loyal

According to Islam, God is real, All-Powerful, All-Knowing, Most Wise, Most Loving, Most Forgiving... He is eternal and thus has been around forever. Even before the invention of time. He does not look like anything. He is shapeless and formless. It is also possible that He is a spirit, but Muslims definitly know He is the Creator and thus different to us. He is not a male or female. Muslims just use 'he' instead of it. See usages of 'he' in a dictionary. He is not interested in women, the way a man is interested in a woman. But He loves His Creation unless it displeases Him. Those who do good are loved by God. While in Christianity suffering is a punishment, in Islam suffering is a part of life. Infact suffering sometimes increases faith. This is because you tend to ask more sincere more desperately for help from a More Powerful Force (i.e. God). Suffering however can be prevented. By humans. Anything good is from God, but anything bad is from humans. If millions of children starve in palestine, it's because of Israel's mistake. If iraqi people die because of the war, it's because america went to war despite the cia telling them no weapons of mass destruction. If millions of africans starve, it's because the goverments prefer to spend millions on war, instead of millions for food. See how it's humans' fault, not God? If God stopped suffering, He would be affecting free will. Thus it's upto us, to take care of creation, for it's how kind we will be to others and how much we love God, that will get us into Heaven/Paradise. If you want to see if God exists, then the Qur'an says: Glorious Qur'an [17:36]: You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them. If you believe in God, and you are a good guy, then: Glorious Qur'an [19:96]: Surely, those who believe and lead a righteous life, the Most Gracious will shower them with love. may God bless you. ocalhoun
lol! God has existed forever. Nobody knows what He looks like, except Moses, who saw a glimpse of him from behind. (Any clearer view would have killed him, which is why God usualy appeared veiled in cloud.) Yes, He's interested in women, but no more than men. He loves everyone equally. He dosn't stop people from suffering because He wants us to have free will. He could have kept so-and-so from being killed by a drunk trucker, but in order to do so, He would have to deny the trucker the desicions he made, which God does not want to do. He could keep dear old grandpa alive longer, but He would have to deny granpa's bad eating choices over the course of his life. kronso.23

I think the way the God and the Goddess look like will be different to different people, just as we can all look at the same scene as see different things. I have no idea how old God is, I doubt anyone has. The God is definately interested in women. It is only through his and the Goddesses fertility that we and all living things exist. It is only people who can stop the suffering in the world because it is, on the whole, people who cause it. Even the results of famine can be stopped as we have the capability of pruducing enough food for everyone. loyal

Many people saw God. Isaiah, peace and blessings upon him, for example. He saw God on His throne surrounded by angels (chapter 6). may God bless you. Bikerman
Maybe you could do with a brush-up yourself. Isaiah Ch 6 is a book of prophecies, not history. He was describing that which was to come, not what he had seen. Regards Chris loyal
