Who the heck wants a taser, unless you want to you as a toy. Tasers are one of the stupidest inventions yet. If you want to stop a bad guy, get a gun, if you can't get a gun, pepper spray is easy enough to find.

Lol, I don't agree you should be handling a taser lol I am afraid what you'll do with it and I believe the reason you can't purchase it in Canada is because of Canadian laws. Which is smart.
I know Cross Bows are illegal in Canada. I know RCMP Officers around here are trained in taser and the handling of Tasers. My ex-girlfriends imcle was an RCMP officer andhe had a taser in his bed stand, but it was police issue!
