Help: KVM over UTP

dezzinea
Hi!
I'm looking for a KVM extender over UTP cable to connect a server to the monitor, keyboard and mouse in a different room.
Does anyone have some suggestions?
It's possible to connect the audio output over the same cable?

Thanks
cruzo
Why not use a KVM Software ?
What about de remote desktop in Windows ?
We are talking about which one O.S.?
In UTP I dont think youll find some thing usefull.
The keyboard and mouse signals are not very powerfull to send it by UTP.
Maybe a wireless mouse and keboard and a Video/Sound Wireless Adapter if the room is not very farm.

I'm not sure how you'd use UTP for any distance and have it be reliable. It's used primarily for LAN's where the computers are in close proximity.

If you get a KVM that also has the speakers feature, that's your best bet. Since the cables are PS2, you can get PS2 extension cables and the signal should still be strong.

I think I know why you're asking. Noisy computer, huh?
