Text replacing software ?

guys

well I have a site which has like 150 pages and all are static [it was like that when i d bought it ] i want to change some text
for example there is there is a text like "recommended books" which i want to replace as "Recommended software".
There was a nice free software which do this but i cant find it in my HDD and i don't remember the name Sad

does anyone use this kind of software ? i think most webmasters use these.
