It's here again, the awaiting month of Ramadhan. To all Muslim, it must something very common for all of you. This year only, I knew what Ramadhan actually means to me. I'm gratitude that I'm still alive, being able to go through the month of Ramadhan. For Muslim, this is best month of all in the Hijrah calendar. Why? This is because, this is the month when any of our 'ibadah' will be taken to account in its greatest rank. Meaning to say, things that we usually do in other months, in this months, it is much much more meaningful to do. Othe than that, we are summon to fast, from the rise of fajar, until the sun falls. It was never a burden to a real Muslim because by fasting, it makes people healthier and beneficial in such many more ways. We are suppose to watch our attitude to make our ibadah a good one. The best thing for Ramadhan is the 'Lailatul Qadar' night which falls in one of the 10 last nights of Ramadhan. Nobody knew which night is the Lailatul Qadar night and that's why in the 10 last night, it is better for each one of the Muslim to do Qiamullail and pray so that, if the prayers actually is done on the night of Lailatul Qadar, it is promised by Allah that the prayers will be listened and 'dimakbulkan'. That's why, in this month of Ramadhan, all Muslim should be greedy, not greedy of material, but greedy to get the 'pahala' given by Allah as He has promised to give, to any Muslim that does ibadah in His name.
Oh ya, the final thing about Ramadhan, is the ending. By the end of Ramadhan, the month of Syawal will come. The 1st day of Syawal, we will have our Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, which will be celebrated in a very big and humongous way. In Malaysia, our traditional food for Raya are rendang, ketupat, lemang, lontong, serunding, kuih raya and lots more. The best thing are not just eating the food, but preparing the food. The night before 1st of Syawal, families would gather and everybody would contribute in cooking these traditional food. It will took quite a long time and a lot of energy. But, having everybody together will actually tighten the bonds.
Whew, what lots of stories. I can actually tell lots more stories but I don't know where to start. So, that's about Ramadhan. Cool huh? If anybody would like to know more, it's better to experience them yourselves. Marhaban ya Ramadhan!
