Accessing someone's computer using their IP

ninjakannon
Hi,

I've heard that it's possible, but I have no idea how to access someone's computer using their IP.

I wanna do this because my friend knows how, but won't tell me. And he's gonna try and get into my computer when "I'm least expecting it", "just for a laugh". So I'd like to do the same to him as I've managed to get his IP Razz, it should be good fun.

Thanks! Wink

I assume that by "accessing someone's computer" you mean logging in as a normal user and perform some (either funny or destructive) tasks. This can be done by telnet. But the other end has to support it, so you won't be able to do anything without him adding the neccessary permissions.
If you meant simply retrieving data from the other computer, just enter his IP in the address bar of your browser, provided that he has a web server set up and port 80 is open.
