My favorite book is The Outsiders. Has anyone read this book? It is really good. Its about this gang and this other gang. And some things happen poof, someone dies. Someone else dies. Everyones sad. Read it. Smile

I read that book in 8th grade. I love the book it was so sad it made me cry.That book is truly amazing it takes you into the life of a Greaser.My fav.was Johnnycake. Who was your fav?

Heh, I remember reading this when I was a kid. It's a pretty good book. Pretty sad too, but sort of hopeful as well.

You should also get a hold of "that was then this is now" and "Rumble fish" both are aslo defo worth the read.
Other books I like are the roddy doyle books which seem to suit people who like SE Hinton, written they way people speak
they are:

Paddy CLark Ha Ha Ha (awesome)
A star called henry
Oh play that thing

The snapper
The commitments (also a really cool movie)
the Van

I read that when I was in Gr.8, as well as sometime around Gr.11. I couldnt remember something from it and it was driving me crazy.

A really good little book, at least compared to what I read now, it's totally worth the read. Though it is a little sad.
