We have one of the best teams in the Premiership with some of the most talented players, but one of the things we lack is a decent winger who can get behind the players in the box and cross!
Rosicky on the right plays the ball inwards. Hleb on the left dribbles the ball inwards (and subsequently into random groups of players and loses it). While Eboue comes up a lot (and Cole used to) we need a player who can genuinely add width to our squad.
The problem is playing teams that don't have the confidence to beat us. They will crowd 10 men behind the ball, holding an extermely low line meaning it is incredibly hard for a striker to hang off the shoulder of the last defender and run onto through balls. Crosses become the primary method of scoring but we lack a player to deliver reliable crosses.
I reckon we should try to get someone like Lahm...
