I am starting this thread where I can put in some puzzles that I have created over the last few months. Frihosters are invited to take a shot at their solutions along with the annotation.
My plan is that I will keep every puzzle active for 2 days. If, within two days, nobody posts the answers, I will myself put in the annotated solution. ( I hope there is no need for that
)

Alpine or Continental may be its classification
It is the result of eons of accretion
Obtained from crushed ice in almost blinding light
It can present you with quite a white sight!
Can you guess the identity of this geological formation?
