What is this material called in English?
We call it traanplaat, but i can not find a translation..
thanks
It looks kind of like dymond plate or aluminum.
I don't know that there is a name for it, besides some corporation's name to sell it under.
Indeed as blaster said, it is similar to diamond plate, but diamond plate has only one crosshatch in a row, and I've never seen any type of it that could easily be rolled and unrolled. (The 'diamonds' give it extra strength.)
Thats what made me think some kind of aluminum but i dont' think there is any one name for something like that other then maybe aluminum.
I see that stuff all the time, but I never actually found the name of it. I say we take a vote, for all the Americans looking at this topic, say aye if you want to call it a "diamond plate!"
That is an anti-skid (or slip) mat.
What they show here is a little bit different, but its basically the same.

Hope that helps.
thanks for the replies, it is indeed called diamond plate.. It comes in many forms, the purpose is the same..
We call that "skid-plate".
the english translation does not matter. you can just describe it
.
