My new site for music artist

I'm thinking about making a new site for music artist to upload there music to so other people will get to know your band and people can preview your music.

Here is how it will work.

The artist will sign up for a profile.

The artist will then get to upload there music so people can download and comment on there music.

This could be the best way to promote your band or help you sell more CDs.

Good idea, but you need a good host for the huge traffic of downloads...

It sounds like a good idea but as already said you would need a petty heavy duty webserver.

Also, you'd be in competition with MySpace which offers a similar idea for bands/artists. Lets face it, MySpace would be likely to win there unless you can really promote your site well and offer something that makes your site stand out.
