My instructor's wife once opened her yahoo messenger to contact some people when she saw an offline message with a link. Since she's not very much acquainted with this things, she click the link and OFF GOES THE VIRUS. Her account suddenly sends the same message to all her contacts. and her homepage was suddenly fix on to a website that's like associated with Yahoo Japan, with a "thanatos" word on the URL. worst, we cannot change the homepage plus lots of other problems... So guys beware, and please if you have any update on this, post it here on Frihost. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. But it is affecting your yahoo acount it means that the yahoo server is not that secured against virus !
it is veri common, not onli on Yahoo Messenger, but oso on MSN (or Windows Live) Messenger. I see a lot of my contacts always suddenly sending crap files or links, but i dont usually accept or click it unless i get a confirmation that they really sent it themselves, not automatically.
