We're closer to chimpanzees, actually.

What was the point of that video?

I think it was to empahsize the stupidity of man or something to that effect. Not sure but that guy didn't have too high of an opinion of the human race. So has he some how realized something we haven't that entitles him to judge the human race or is he simply one of those poor few who feel it their right and privelege to educate us all with out actually helping to slove the problem?

Actually the monkey "family" does not include apes or humans. Apes fall into the family of Pongidae or Panidae depending on which taxominmer you talk to while humans are in the Hominidae family. Monkeys for the most part fall into the Cercopithecoidea and Ceboidea superfamilies (amoung others) and it is not until you reach infraorders that a commonality between Humans and apes is found with monkeys.

doesn't matter, we all came from somewhere however different we are, even mice that looks nothing like us have a very similar genetic make-up.

All mammals have have a very similar genetic make-up.

What is interesting is that we have homologous protiens and DNA with animals outside our family, such as drosophila and others. Genes are very consevered through out the animal kingdom.

Too long for too obvious a point. I only kept watching to see if there was going to be something clever at the end. I feel robbed of my time! And rife with errors, to boot! Anyone who has been around animals knows that they are very capable of hating other animals.

Ah, hate the great unifier.

Sort of.

I think the movie shows mankinds vanity

It was great! I allredy know we were apes but it say something. Something about us. We are not happy. All animals are not happy either but. We make problems. If there is no problem we create it.
I have thought about it before but. The life would be easier if we were animals. We don't fitt in. We have a clever brain that make us survive. But it's not made too help the whole world of human. We are happier if we were animals! I'm sure!

It was a great movie! It realy is. But It had been more trustable if It was an british ape that spoke.

I think I would have preferred an Aussie ape actually.
