Can i have 2 websites with different urls?

oskuro
hi, actually, i have this url for my website:

http://suicidiocolectivo.frih.net/

i want to know if its possible to have another url like....

http://secondwebsite.frih.net

to be able to upload to my frihnet ftp, another forum, but with a different url.

Is that possible??Thanks
Sunny
No its not possible and against the rule. However you can always create subdomains of your domain as many as you want.

for eg.

secondwebsite.suicidiocolectivo.frih.net/
thirdwebsite.suicidiocolectivo.frih.net/

Hmmm, ok, that΄s a good solution too.

How can i do that then?? Do i have to ask bondings to create that new subdomain for me?Or i can do that myself? How?? Thanks! Wink
Sunny
No you don't need to ask anyone and can do it yourself. Login to your DIrectAdmin Account, Click "subdomain management" and you will see space to add a new sub domain.

You can also get one or more free subdomains from http://freedns.afraid.org/ , but you'll have to figure out yourself how to exactly do it.
oskuro
Ok thanks, i will try to do that.

Just one question.

Once i add a new subdomain... where do i have to upload in my ftp account the new files for the new forum?? I mean, right now, i have all my forum files in my public_html directory.

Do i have to upload the new files for the new forum, there too?Cause there will be folders and files with same names, or do i have to create another folder to upload files there in another place??

Thanks
Bondings
The subdomain will normally be a new directory in the public_html directory, if that's what you wanted to know.

So, i have to create a new directory in my public_html directory, maybe a new folder called the same way the new subdomain is?? Or how can i do that?

I have created the new subdomain:

apuestas.suicidiocolectivo.frih.net

now what??I will try to discover it by myself, but dont know really how to do it, thx

No, when you create the subdomain, a new folder with the name of the new subdomain is automatically created in your public_html directory. Laughing

In your case, there should already be a folder called apuestas in your public_html directory. Wink

That is a new directory, you can have as many of them you want.

The second one is a subdomain. But it is really a sub sub domain

domain.com
sub.domain.com
sub.sub.domain.com You can make as many of these as you like.
