I love the flowers...
I have some really cool cacti, some of them are older than my wife. I’ve had them since the 80’s. She loves flowers and I periodically raid my garden for her. At the moment I have Strelitzia flowering.
Heh. The only flowers I have are the wild ones that grow in the festering mound of weeds that I also call my back yard. They almost look like sunflowers, and stand at 5ft on average. They smell weird though.

It 's good to keep so many types of flower, I think they are all beautiful. For me, I used to keep 2 types only, however, I don't know their name, but they are quite nice.

I quite like totally wild meadows and would prefer this to neat back gardens, it's all a question of scale I suppose. A large wild meadow looks better than my back garden full of weeds and long grass. I need more money I think.
I have some orchids but nothing else. Lots of flowers (daffodils, crocuses and snowdrops) growing outside of the house.

The interesting thing is that it does not open its petals with the liight of a lamp, but with the sun light only. Why

If it comes natural for him to give flowers, he would have been bringing you flowers long ago.
sounds to me, like he may have been complaining, maybe she whined or asked for the flowers.
Or maybe she threw it up in his face about someone else bringing her flowers and he felt he had to compete with one of her ex's.
Although, I must add that it seems a bit insensitive of him to tell you about the other girls flowers and then tell you to stop being selfish.
Unless, he was pressured into giving her flowers because she was selfish, and he relates asking for flowers with her selfishness.
