you might found it at http://opensourcecms.com
this is a demo site for open source and freeware based on PHP and MySQL Content Menagement Systems and e-Commerce Systems. see them, try them and choose which one you like. actually no CMS is fulfilled. if u like one feature then the other feature wont make you satisfy.
this is the best, why?
- its free source, not only free script, you can change (legally) the code if you need something special.
- there is a lot of free source addons to.
- user friendly interface
There is a website at http://www.opensourcecms.com
that allows you try out all of the major CMS's, Blogs, etc. for free. You may even find ones there you have never heard of before.
Good Luck
There are two CMS in chinese.one is support by Discuz.it is named Supersite(http://www.supersite.com). the other is support by Phpwind,it is named VeryCMS(www.phpwind.net).you can have a try if you understand Chinese!
You should try Future Nuke. It's really good. Here's the site:

i've been using joomla eversince, haven't considered shifting to other CMS yet but its a good thing you brought this up. I might consider shifting to other CMS if it suits my taste. thanks for the link, this is sure helpful.
It may have the best rating on that site, but I have found a few that rated poorly there, but worked great for myself and others.
The ratings on that site are kinda like a movie rating, the person who saw the movie didn't like it, so they give it a poor rating....doesn't mean someone else may not like the movie.
It all depends on whether the CMS fulfills the purpose of your website. If your intention is only to have a blog, then WordPress or B2Evo or even DotClear would be alright. If you are not satisfied with the community building CMS available, then create one.
