Internet Explorer Glitch

garionw
I am currently making a site without the use of tables (Im using CSS). I have set the page with at 760 pixels and have two colums in my site (Sidebar and Content). Both of these boxes have got floated left and have margins of 10pixels. However, Internet Explorer gives me margins of 20 pixels whenever I set the float attrabuite.

Has anyone else encountered this before and if so, developed a work around for it?

Have you checked the paddings of the parent elements ?
eruct
Ranfaroth is right. You need to check your padding. For some reason IE does not understand the box model (padding, border, margin). If you wish to keep your padding and such intact you need to use a hack.

Here is a link to a common work-around for the problem.

I'm not sure this has anything to do with padding (though padding is crap in IE, granted)

Could you post a link, garionw?
