ASP technology help

Hi all

I used to do programming on ASP long time back.. 5 years precisely..
and then after that, didnt even touch Javascript... LOL!

Now, I want to try my hand again on programming ASP.. but the trouble is i need iis server.

I downloaded the iis but its not installing on WIN 2000. It says it needs NT server. As far as I knew WIN 2000 was based on NT Technology...

Is there anyways I can work on ASP without having to change my WIN 2000?

If you are using WinXP then best is to install IIS6 which is included in WinXP professional CD. just go to control panel --> Add/Remove Programs--> Windows Componet --> IIS

OR

You can install ASP on Apache http://www.apache-asp.org/

OR

use online free asp hosting at www.brinkster.com

OR
work in PHP believe me its much better than ASP

On Win2k you can add IIS as a Windows Component (Control Panel->Software->Windows Components->Internet Information Services).

You don't need to download some software, its on your CD.

well i will give you only one advise "asp is dead and it has been dead for last 4 years." Why are you wasting your time on something that is prehistoric .
Dump asp you can invest your skills in Asp.Net or better php

and this is the way to install iis on win2k
Control Panel->Software->Windows Components->Internet Information Services
