Al Gore

I just saw an interview on "enough rope" with Al Gore and was fairly impressed by his integrity and ability to speak intelligently on world issues, sorry if this offfends anyone but it's something that I don't think George Bush can do. Did any other Aussies see it? What did you think? What do Americans think of Al Gore?

Not fit for command, except that he invented the internet. Laughing

He's a good honest man with a solid intelligence. Which is why he doesn't stand a chance in the US. Most americans would rather hear a snappy one liner that fills them with false pride instead of listening to a reasoned viewpoint. Americans are becoming sheep...vicious sheep, but sheep never the less.

Gore is fine. I would vote for him again.

He is certainly better than all these pedophile republicans: especially like the ones on this board. No child left un touched, that is the republican motto after all. Anyone who can keep their church and state separate is better than what we have now. Christian crazies, makes the rest of us look bad, walking around trying to shove light bulbs up the asses of our prisoners, "just following orders sir!" In God we trust. Save us from your followers God! Dirtbags all over the place just claiming to be following your orders! Hey, there is one outside my building right now. What’s that he’s saying? Ah yes, the niggers will die and burn in hell rant. (This is Portland Oregon by the way folks) Oh look, he caught up to an interracial couple and is screaming at the Asian woman. Is preacher Tom any relation of yours Key’s? You really ought to call him home.

Gore is a very sincere and dedicated psycho

I'd say about half of everything that comes out of his mouth is incorrect, but he honestly believes what he says and means well.. yet he exhibits many characteristics that make me believe that he has a personality disorder that would make him a total disaster if he were ever actually in charge of anything.. I'm very glad he's not President.. but he is pretty amusing to listen to

for example, his latest statement that the US government should tax companies for polluting rather than taxing individuals.. oh, I wish we could have that, Al

and then there are the premises central to "An Inconvenient Truth", which is comically named, considering it is based on very specious suppositions.. there is no "truth" to this movie, merely speculation.. it's possible that some, or all, of the accusations made in Al's movie are right.. and it's equally possible that some, or all, are completely wrong.. we might as well flip a coin.. and that's how all things are concerning Al

A person with good personality. He is very unfortune to loose in election against bush. World see that how he was lost .... Texas presents Bush the presidebcy ... else things and the world could be different ....

America would be a true democracy if voting was compulsory like Australia. The US is like the Roman Empire, disenfranchising its own citizens and having undeserving officers incumbent. I see to it that it will fall within my lifetime, overran by its enemies due to its internal weakness.

Al Gore the true president, is left to do small time Global Warming activism. Poor bloke

it's rather telling, tho, that Al Gore would have been elected president if he could only have carried his own state.. Tennessee.. he lost the election because the people who know him best decided not to vote for him

incidentally, the United States isn't a democracy.. it's a republic.. the founding fathers never intended for it to be a democracy as they rightly feared 'mob rule'.. and in that same manner, you're even more right than you realize about your comparison to Rome, which was also a republic at one time

and yes, Al Gore did lose his own state, thus costing him the presidency

my wife saw Al Gore's new movie just recently called an "inconvinient truth". She was fairly impressed with it, although I have yet to see it. And that's coming from someone who didn't think all too much of him before. So I guess he's an ok guy.
JoeFriday
right.. this ok guy doesn't make it too public that his family and he are significant shareholders in oil stocks

Al is a shining example of 'do as I say, not as I do'
