some days in your KFC meal??!!

Why did the chicken cross the road? To hide in shame in some bushes! This naked chicken may someday end up in your KFC family bucket.

This is the supposed story:
"JERUSALEM -- Seedless watermelon was one thing, but a featherless chicken? An Israeli researcher is growing bald birds that will stay cool in the sultry Middle East and other hot regions. The less fatty, crossbred chickens will fare better in tropical climates, where expensive cooling systems are needed to raise poultry, Hebrew University's Avigdor Cahaner said Tuesday. The new birds are also better for the environment because the absence of feathers eliminates the need for water and electricity to run machinery in processing them for food. "We're talking about sustainable agriculture. Farming should be aimed at reducing waste," Cahaner said. He crossbred normal chickens with birds already partly bald because of a naturally occurring "naked neck" gene. The result is a somewhat funny-looking, normal sized boiler chicken that carries the special naked gene."

The real story is that this extraterrestrial chicken was dropped from a flying saucer near Art Bell's desert home. Art found it, fried it and now suffers from chronic back problems after eating it.

The moral of this story - don't eat naked fried chickens. Bake them!

I heard a joke before that KFC is trying to make genetically-modified chickens that have 4 legs so that they can make 4 drumsticks out of it. LOL. But that chicken up there is hilarious. Shocked

KFC is the worst place in the world, they don't care at all about the chickens, they pump them full of drugs and hormones, and chop of the tips of there beaks, so that they can smash 500 chickens into a little cage, and raise them.

They suceeded in engineering the 4 legged chicken a while ago. The problem is that nobody can catch it..

Ok, now I've got an image in my mind of a bunch of guys in lab coats and overalls running around a farm yard like the keystone kops trying to catch a four-legged chicken. I'll be giggleing over that one all day.

I wouldn't eat that... who knows if I grow bald after getting the nakkid gene... Wink

First GM food... now GM poultry? Next GM forks and spoons? Shocked

Now that the FDA has given the green light to cloned animal consumption, it's just going to be a matter of time when they're genetically enhanced to be the best chicken it can be... for consumption, that is.

It is as safe to eat as any other organism. Up to now I see no point at even *thinking* the genes of the things you eat might be dangerous, as you do not GET the genes but rather melt them to get energy.

Now for KFC it isn't quite good for the health, I agree. However, I work there (for now) and I must say that the chicken isn't grown by the company, but by local chicken-growing farming cooperatives or companies. The way these chickens are treated do not depend on KFC but on these companies. I'm growing tired of this society psychotic reaction toward fast-food... all myths I guess. Yes it's greasy, but that's all.

Soltair's right, as long as they're not going to add extremely dangerous chemicals to the chickens it should be OK.

The only other thing I want to say is....hmmmm, KFC. *drools* Razz

Trying to wait until April, when the trans-fat oil is gone from the chicken, before going to KFC.

And it's not the genes really that people are worried about. It's what the geneticists can't predict will happen to the chickens in the long-run that worries people.

KFC already did some genetic engineering on their name. I liked Kentucky Fried Chicken for a name. Sigh... political correctness.
