Okay, I've been seeing these commercials for and against Proposition 87 - Clean Energy and such. Supposedly it makes the Oil Companies pay for what they did and won't allow them to pass the cost to the consumers. Also is makes it more important to search for an alternate form of energy so we don't become so dependant on oil as we are now in the future. However the cons from the ads say that it actually will raise prices to consumers due to having to get foreign oil and the people looking/developing a better alternate form of energy has no obligations to show anything from it (and thus waste more money). The internet has basically given me the same pro/con answers. Anyone know any more than this that can give me more insight (and truth) about this proposition? I know how much the Oil Companies made last time, they made a huge profit with the consumers paying for all the profit which seems to be a rip off and they should be investigated like what happened with Enron. Any comments?
