If you goto http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp you can search web domain databases to find out information regaurding where the person who registered the domain registered it to.

It tells u the name(s) of the people whjo registered it


That's why its best to use a subdomain cos it means that u can't be looked up

Well I think it is ok to be searchable of the owner of the domain as long as you ain't doing anything offensive on the domain website. What's more... some rich company may decide they just gotta own that domain name and offer you a million for it. haha.
