Yeah, I first started playing the (six string) guitar some years ago. Never really had a teacher, but the tabs you can find on the internet taught me pretty well, in my opinion. I also play piano a little bit now, but not that great... 
I have played clarinet for seven years, sax for one and a half, drums for four, and I just started a class at COC for beginning guitarists
