Then how can you have 'less than expected'??
I saw a lot of members above 45 points.

Forget what??
You can get upwards around 80ish points, but they are reset to 45 (I believe) every night. Perhaps you were there when they reset?
Otherwise, as the FAQ states, you lose one per day. Maybe you went thru a time warp.
Points reset every day to 45 (assuming they were previously above this number).
