I saw the dresden dolls at reading festival 2006. Bloody hell the drummer was ... it was someof the best i had ever seen, and maybe ever will see. but they are truly a fantatic band and one of my highlights from the festival.
Ive never seen them live, but i saw a video of their concert off the net where they do this mock strip tease and have tape across their nipples, singing along to madonna. its so funny. and they both dress up like britney spears and do a cover of one of her songs.
They also did a cover of Black Sabbath's War Pigs.
I wasn't really a fan before, but this is when i became converted.
I love them, although i haven't seen them live either. I first got addicted when i heard Backstabber from their album Yes Virginia...
I'm glad that they are gaining popularity because they have a very good concept, simple yet effective.
I hope to hear some more from them soon
yeh i think there great
saw them in a samll venue in my hometown not to long back and theywere very entertaining
They're pretty cool. Not really my style, but I really respect the turning of music into art. The ideas are really original and their live performances are done really well, and they bring something new to the stage every single time.
They sound much fuller than a 2 piece band and play some really amazing stuff.
But like I said, not my style. I can't sit and listen to them.
