Can anyone post a tutorial on how to make hydrogen sulfide?

I know its poisonous, but apparently it is great for pranks. Has anyone had experience with it?
Cheers.

Arghhh...please don't mess with this - hydrogen sulphide (H2S) is as toxic as another chemical you may have heard of....hydrogen cyanide.

Two ways you can make a stink bomb without endagering life:
1) Take a cup of milk, put it in a plastic ziplock bag. Leave it in the sun for at least a couple of days (ideally 4 or 5). You have a stink bomb which will turn stomaches.

2) Take a lock of hair (3 or 4 inches long). Tie a rubber band around it.
Light and retire.

Leave the H2S to the chemists...please..

Take an egg, leave for a long time. Crack it and you'll have the smell of rotten eggs - Hydrogen Sulphide.

That is totally false ! H2S is toxic but not that toxic !

Sorry, but according to the MSDS (Materials Safety Data Sheet):
Quote:
Highly toxic - may be fatal if inhaled. Inhalation of a single breath at a concentration of 1000 ppm ( 0.1% ) may cause coma. Corrosive when moist. Skin contact may cause burns. There is a rapid loss of sense of smell on exposure to gas concentrations above 150 ppm, and this means that the extent of exposure may be underestimated. Perception threshold ranges from 0.5 ppt to 0.1 ppm. Irritant. Asphyxiant.

Likewise:
Quote:
Just a few breaths of air containing high levels of hydrogen sulfide gas can cause death.

Thus, this is nothing with which you should have interest in making, and certainly nothing which should be asked - or answered - here.
