Microsoft have just realeased beta 2 of Windows Vista. Many claim it still has thousands of back doors? Is Microsoft really ready? Many claim it will head the was XP did. Soon on there might be a SP4 even. So what do you think? Are you happy with XP?
You will always have service packs as long as microsoft exists. It's not that easy to create a secure software. The ony hope is vista will be nore secure than xp.
This is true with linux also. There will be loopholes always. Tey needed to be fixed. As windows is most popular, the frequency of finding these loopholes is very big compared to linux. At any time windows is secure from all previous loopholes. Vista will also be same, maybe they can lower the frequency of exposure of loopholes, by making a really stable OS with stable codes. I am always on the side of Microsoft.
here will always be loopholes somewhere. Internet explorer gets all the dough because its the most mostly used, butnow they are exploiting FF loopholes coz out of a sudden everyone starts using it. Same for apple. Besides, vista is currently beta, dont expect too much man.
Vista will be relatively secure but any OS running on over 90% of platforms in the world is going to be suspectible to virus attacks and backdoors. The other OS are not necessarily more secure, they are just less widely used. Honestly, who is coming up with Amiga virus when they could attack IE?
