Help! Windows Media Player Problems

I have just installed a new hard drive and have moved all of "my documents" onto it. When i click on the playlist file in the new location it play ok but i cannot add the playlist file to the media player. I think it still wants to read the playlist files from the old drive. I have tried moving the playlist files onto that drive and they show up but do not work!

Is there any way to select the location from which you read the playlist from. I am trying to retrieve about 40 playlists and it would be a nightmare trying to create them. Please HelO Crying or Very sad

u should have moved all of your documents (i think)

Right click my documents, properties then move to the drive(this is what I did)

Can u c ur music files in player

oh and one more suggestion, go tools>properties>libraryand try and work around there.

Thanks for your help but i had already done what you said. In the end i found out that the only way to make the playlist appear in the player is to save it. So what i did was :open all the playlists quickly and then re-save them (overwriting the old one). So in actual fact it does not matter where on the pc they are!

The playlists direct to a nonexistant location after you moved the music files. Either move it back or update the location of the songs in the playlists.
