this tutorial basically explains how to create a home video.. most of you may know it but i thought of sharing it with the unknown..
What is Windows Movie Maker first? it is just a software that comes bundled with WINDOWS XP using which you can create or edit movies.. u can access WIN MM thro
Start->all programs->accessories->Windows Movie Maker
now if you want to upload a clip from your digital camcoder or handy cam do this
On the File menu, click Capture Video then in the Movie Tasks pane, under Capture Video, click Capture from video device...
now in the video capture device page select your device from which you want to transfer
then enter the name for ur video say mpeg1 or somthing and save it in the desired location..
for video settings select the video setting you want to have for the video...
On the Capture Method page, click Capture the entire tape automatically... this rewinds the cam to the starting point and sends all capture images to the computer and stops wen the video is over..
now if u want this video in seperate clicks for furthur editing select Create clips when wizard finishes check box...
else to stop capturing before the end of the video tape, click Stop Capture, and then click Yes in the resulting dialog box to save the video that has been captured.
now close the video capture wizard..
now comes the making part of the videos
Buliding a Style Board
da windows MM automatically divides your video into segments to make it easier to drag and drop the parts you want onto the storyboard where you put your movie together.. cool na
so to build it import a clip from ya system and ul c da clips.. now u can select and drag the clips u need for making the movie to the storyboard below.... and save..
to edit da clips for better quality.. select timline view.. and in preview window scroll da video to wer u want and stop it at the place wer u wanna trim da video.. now under clip menu select set trim point..now drag again until the end point of da video to wer u wanna end da trimming.. now select clip->end trim point..
adding sound track
adding audio cld b fun sometimes
in da taskplane click on import audio or music..now select the audio u wanna import and click ok now the music track will appear so as usual click and drag in timeline to the point wer u want to start and thats it sound added
adding title..credits..
in the left side u got an option enter title.. there u can enter the title of the video ur makin.. similarly u got a option below for credits.. jus play aroun those options until u get ur desired form of output
now after editing all and finishing all ya jobs don forget to save it

.I think it has something to do with 64 bit compatibility....any ideas
