What car would you suggest for me?

Da Rossa
I have a very serious problem related to cars: I'm rather tall: 1,89m, 120+kg. I have to drive with the legs folded, with the left knee in constant contact with the door, the right tibia stays in contact with the 'front-things-compartiment' (don't know the exact name in English, but some can use this as an ash tray). This is about my car, a Fiat Tempra SX, what is considered internally large.

The average cars in Brazil are tiny, I wonder how the taller people drive. Sometimes I have far places to go, this is disgusting. When I first drove (15 years old, Razz) driving was fantastic. Now I'm 22. It is DIFFICULT to find internally-large cars here in Brazil. And the ads do not show the interior with details.

So, I'd like to know a globally-sold car, not necessarily CHEAP, but not a Ferrari or Lambo or Mercedes/BMW/Audi and derivatives, they are unaffordable. Or else tell me, if you had this problem, what non-expensive car would you buy? Thanks.

I would recommend the Volkwagen Passat. It has quite a lot of space in front and you can move the chairs back if you still don't have the room necesary.
These cars are considered the best here in Europe, at least by my friends and work colegues Smile

Good!! I was almost forgetting it here in Brazil, this new generation perhaps came too expensive for our standards, but I might research upon a used one. Thanks for suggestion!
Anyone else? Very Happy

LOL! I'm 6' 3" (I think that's about 190cm) but have more issues with headroom than leg. But I do know how letting your leg bone constantly vibrate against an obstruction can be a pain...literally.

One thing I did, years ago, was go to a shop that installed racing seats and had them move the exisitng seat back 2 inches. Cost about 100 USD, but it was cheaper than a new car. Just a thought.

I gave up on cars years ago in favor of 4x4s, so I can't make any suggestions for a new car.

I'm glad you understand, because few people do, including the assessories sellers!
Someday I considered buying a sportive wheel, that smaller ones, so I could get in and out without difficult of having legs pushing the original wheel. And I thought about a racing seat as well, but here in Brazil, there are not as much stores that sell as you see in the US and europe, so here we have an unfortunate culture that "the ones who buy them are those richie playboys and would buy much more than that, like nitrous, turbo, exhaust systems, tyres..." So they $mile when someone comes inside a store intending to buy sportive seats Sad
