Editing a file in DirectAdmin

CanadianGeek
This was just a thought more than anything else, but what about including line numbering somehow when editing a file? This would be particularly useful for people editing php scripts. Yes, I know that I could easily download a text editor for this purpose but I almost never work on frihost from my own computer. I either work on it from work or from an access center, so I can't exactly go around installing text editors.

As an asside, allowing tabs within the DirectAdmin text editor might be a good idea too for formatting purposes, although I know that I could just hit space 8 times.

easiest way to do it is use www.web2ftp.com and edit it there. It has the numbers and i find it nice for when i have errors in phpbb. Also www.pastecode.com is a good place to past codes in. It also has numbers and makes it really easy to see. It is helpful with all types of scripts too.

I don't think it's easy (or even possible, actually) to be able to edit the way DirectAdmin lets you edit your files.

You could try Blaster's solutions though.

Thanks for your solutions Blaster, I know I could certainly be using them, lol.
