Dodge Viper Bike

rossss
Did anyone see the dodge viper bike that they made a few years ago? A motorbike with a viper engine and 4 massive wheels (wheels were doubled up at front and back)!
I think it was the company owner who said he wanted to drive it onto the stand at it's debut motor show, it was so powerful that he stalled it on the ramp!
Also, dodge refused to sell the bike to anyone who hadnt signed a contract stating that they wouldnt drive it, and if they did drive it, everything that happens from there on, is the customers own fault!

That would have been really cool to see. And know i didn't even knwo they did such a thing. But that bike must have had a lot of power... maybe too much power if you ask me.

There's serious discussion at Dodge about putting the Tomahawk into production but at $250,000 each you can bet it will be limited. Even if you can handle the price, can you handle 1,500 pounds cranking out 500 horsepower, between your legs? If you can, the 505 cu. in. (8300 cc) aluminum Viper V-10 engine will take you to 60 MPH in 2.5 seconds and nothing on the street will ever catch you.

Overkill to use a Viper engine if it's acceleration you're after, when my simple, puny GSX-R 1000 goes 0-60 in 2.3 (in theory, just as the Tomahawk's 2.5 is "in theory") Wink. Quite a bit cheaper, too. Only "advantages" to the Viper as I see it is the top speed (as if anyone would use it) and that the engine will keep you sweating in the winter... Razz

Also, my animated namesake's animated concept bike from the mid-80s looks more modern than the Tomahawk Wink But it's nice to see an American company finally doing something (relatively) new with bikes.

The thing with viper engine is the grip ... U can not have full grip in the viper on 360/23/17" and what hapens on those tiny whils ?? Yeah 0-60 not so "impresive" but check 60-200 Very Happy
