Polls?

I am looking for some decent free polls or code to write my own. I'm sort of a noob when it comes to MySQL and PhP stuff, so please forgive me if I sound stupid.

I tried the Bravenet stuff, but I'm sick of pop-ups and advertising. I just want a simple little customizable poll. Can somebody please help me?
