Hello, I have just started a new company called "Dodson Solutions". It is a custom software company primarily. I make custom software for colleges and businesses. Although, the company also makes web sites for other companies as well.
Pretty much what I am looking for is a logo for the company...
something i can put on a business card... and stuff like that.
I am looking for it to be with a white background if possible
I have no set color scheme.

the contest will be over September 28th. So that is one month.
The winner will receive 200FRIH$... and if it is something that really really stands out and is amazing... I am thinking about giving away some US$ for the winner as well.

I will work on it, however sence the contest will be over September 28th, I will not post it until September 28th so I can make as many changes as possible, and make it look as best as possible, but before I get started, what exactly would you like? Like somehting like in a circle? I need some kind of detail like that, also would you like one color? a mixed variety of colors? Any certain size? And one last question, would you like your ocmpanys name under it? Maybe an abbrevatipon name of your company maybe?

First of all thank you for joining the contest. I am actually looking for a logo where the name is the main thing... For example dell's logo... is "dell" but in an interesting format. umm... microsoft's logo is just their name. I am looking for a cool and professional way to display the name as the logo. If you would like to add an image type logo to it as well that is fine but i pretty much would like it to be the name. And when it come to colors... many color's is fine. You will see some entries from me. Couple of things. Is the company name 'Dodson Solutions', 'Dodson Corp.', or just plain 'Dodson'? And say that someone submits something that is exactly what you are looking for. Will the contest end early? It's just that a month seems like a long time...

I would advise against waiting until the deadline to post your submission(s). In fact, I would recommend posting whatever you have asap so the client (Talk2Tom11) can give his insights and let you know if he like the direction you are heading. It's possible, but not likely, that you will create the perfect logo without Talk2Tom11's input along the way... just a thought.
Well, I will take the other dudes advice, I didnt do much to it, but looked at it and thought it owuld look very professional at the top of a buisness card, maybe even a building.

The company name is 'Dodson Solutions'. The contest will not end early. I gave a month just so people have time to work on it incase they have other things that they are doing right now as well.

I do think that this logo looks professional but i am looking for something alittle more creative. something that i can't create in MS Word.I will enter this contest

I like the logo but i am looking for something alittle smaller and with a white background.

Since I don't feel like working for nothing its watermarked right now...will of course be removed if I win . I will give it a try too. Although, I was wondering, what is your philosophy, audience, and main goal of the company, this can help me in my designs.

This Logo is on the track of what i was talking about... White background... cool way of writing the Company Name.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of them!What do you think about the color scheme, like? Don't like? It is pulled from your webstie so it would integrate well.

My Company is a Custom Software Company... I deal with Colleges and Businesses primarily. The Goal for the company is to be expand to be an internationally known Company. We specialize but not limited to Security Software. Also the company does web design for any type of customer, Personal, Business, School, etc.18 Days left!!!

Dodson Solutions is in its final negotiations with a college for a security application and whatever logo wins will be placed on this security application.

I like I like... We will see what happens come the 28th.
I just want to state that the deadline is the 28th but the office word on who has one will come within a day or two after the 28th. Myself and another board member are going to be desiding on the winner so we will need a day or two to talk it over. I haven't done any kind of logo design in a while so I apologize for the simplicity (but I guess if you want to use it on business cards and stuff it can't be too color intensive) Anyways, If you want it colored I can do that... I thought I'd just leave that up to you If you're interested. Earlier you said you gave some examples of logos you'd like, however, it's hard to compare your business to divx, dell, sega, ect because their logo's are only 4 letters long (which makes the job easier) It's harder to create an effective logo with such a long business name. Anyways I wish you the best of luck with your new business.

I do like the design saskshadowplayers.... However i was wondering if you could give it alittle color... So far this is my favorite. Like i said in the last post... the deadline has been extended for a few more days so i will make me final say after that.My entry.

There's a few variations on the same logo. Sorry its not too overly creative... I didn't pick a good font for making it colorful

YES.... I like them a lot better in color... Now the only thing is to deside which color i like best...lol... great job... like i said earlier you are the front runner right now... I am just waiting to see if any last minute designs are going to come in. Well it's been nearly a week so I figure I'll ask... Have you picked a winner yet? If you pick mine, I'll send you high rez versions of your choice as well as the psd so you could change something if you needed to.

Thank you sooo much saskshadowplayers! Sorry it has been awhile since i have gotten back to you. I have sooooo busy. I finally sold my first security program. Boy am i excited. Ok well i will still have to get back to you on what sizes i would like for the logo. I will probably PM you the request. Thanks again!
