My favorite to watch is "none of them". I will sit down and watch auto racing occassionally. Playing basketball however is good. Everyone up for a game of horse?

Pfft. Of course it's a sport.
Definintion from Wiki:

|
Sports consists of a physical activity carried out with a recreational purpose for competition, for self-enjoyment, to attain excellence, for the development of a skill, or, more often, some combination of these. A sport is typically charactized by physical activity, competition, self-motivation and a scoring system. Sports differ in their dependence upon a set of individual or team skills, as well as in the ways in which they have their participants compete. |
We may not like it and think it doesn't require much activity, but it qualifies.

that's easy. tennis is definetly the best. and baseball is the worst. is maybe the only sport i found nothing good in it... even golf, here hated or rated as an activity instead of a sport, is an excellent sport.
this goes to any fan of baseball: what's so good in it? why does it has so much followers?

Oh. Tennis is definitely my most favorite sport, and i guess football is my least.
Watching and playing are definitely different.
I'll play just about any sport except rugby (I like my bones) and lacrosse (I simply suck at it)
As for watching, tennis can be fun or very very boring. Golf is great on a rainy day to see sunny weather or to watch a favorite or a final round, but otherwise a bit too slow.
Ever try walking 4 miles under 90 degree heat and then coordinating your muscles to hit a tiny ball with like 99.9% accuracy? That's professional golf and it does pose some physical demands (although not like 2 hours of soccer).

I like basketball because it's a very competitive sport with a lot of action. I have been playing for 3-4 years. To me basketball is fun because it's a game that just makes you feel good for no important reason
Soccer is my favorite sport. I dont really have a least favorite. A few of the others I don't like for one reason but otherwise enjoy them. (Those sports being football, basketball, baseball, and golf)

When it comes to all other sports, i didn't excel at any one sport, outside of soccer, i have always been good at all of them. I am very glad of that as well. It is great to be able to at least play all and not be horrible at any. i love sports...i just hope i can continue to play soccer for the rest of my life.

Hockey is not my favorite sport to watch. I doubt it's yours, either. I do enjoy the game but it had to grow on me.
My dad and I tuned into random games throughout the mid-1980s after the family upgraded to cable. Maybe we watched more because of the phenomenon surrounding the sport rather than the sport itself. Or maybe there was just nothing else on.
For whatever reason, those TV games opened the South's door to Canada's favorite game. So when Raleigh acquired the Icecaps, a minor-league team that has since moved from the area, the family started to attend games.
My folks, originally from South Carolina, stayed interested in the sport and bought season tickets when the Hurricanes moved to the area.
They've been hooked since.
Don't get me wrong. Football, baseball and basketball still come first in their household. Maybe even NASCAR next. Then hockey.
But their love of sports now encompasses hockey, too.
They're not the only couple in their 50s in our state that has added a new sport to their lists of favorites.
More people in the Twin Counties, it seems, are flying Hurricanes flags, bumper stickers and car magnets ever since Carolina won the Stanley Cup.
Tonight, the Cup banner will be raised in the RBC Center before the Hurricanes' season-opener against Buffalo.
Many of the 18,000-plus spectators probably didn't pick up the game as something to watch until later in life. It's still a game from up north, after all.
None of that takes away from its mystique, its appeal or the fact a top-level NHL franchise is less than an hour away from here.
And, yes, our area is a part of the Hurricanes' market.
The franchise will give Rocky Mount a chance to embrace the Stanley Cup on Monday. It will be on display at the Imperial Centre from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., free to the public.
Most people in Raleigh haven't even been that close to hockey's grandest prize.
Watch the game on Versus (formerly Outdoor Life Network) at 7 p.m. See what you think of hockey.
At some point you chose to watch and enjoy football and other sports, so this may be the time to add the fastest game on ice to the list.
Hockey combines the finesse of basketball, the physical play of football and the precision of baseball.
The Hurricanes will play 40 more games at home this season, ample opportunity to drive over for a rink-side view.
It didn't take that many games for me to become a fan of hockey – or basketball, baseball or any other of our favorite pastimes, for that matter. Maybe you'll see what I saw, maybe you'll like what you see, maybe you'll be curious enough to check it out in person.
Is 2006 the time to add hockey to your list? With the banner being raised tonight, and the Cup in town next week, there might be no better time.

I guess my favorite, and pretty much only sport I like is hockey. I never really got into sports, besides the ones of the 'extreme' variety. I could never stand to watch basketball, football, or baseball. Hockey's always been interesting to me, and I've always loved it. Playing it, however, takes a toll on me.
Least favorite has to be GOLF. What a sport. I've played it once about 6 years ago. I think it was a 9 hole course, or something. A really crappy public place. I just couldn't tolerate it. I can't stand to watch it, and I don't see they hype around it. Not saying it's not ok for anyone else, as we all have different tastes, but it's just not my thing.
I do love the drving range, though.

As far as spectator sports goes there are two I really don't understand and probably more that I haven't considered which should be on the list.
I think the worst one is basketball. There seems to be no point to the middle portion of the court which is ignored by all the players. The team which has possession is allowed to run to the attacking end of the court without challenge from the defending team unlike most other team sports in which the defending team actually defends their ground.
By contrast netball is a much better court game because of the court restrictions on the players. Every bit of the court is used and at the elite level of the game played in Australia it is very fast.
The other game I don't understand is golf. As a spectator sport it has to be the most boring thing ever invented to use up broadcast bandwidth. I can understand how actually playing golf would be good, but watching it on TV is pointless second only to listening to it on radio. TellyTubbies is more stimulating.

Have you ever watched a basketball game? Because the opposition does defend the own goal, and quite often its the best defensive teams that have the most success, see Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs recently

I would have to say that soccer is my favorite sport(of course this is coming from someone who completely dominates the goal and not a shot gets by me. . . OWN!). My least favorite sport is professional bowling. It's a fun activity, but really stupid if its a proffesional sport. . .
football ( soccer ) is the best and GOLF its too boring!!!.
My favorite sport would have to be Basketball. One sport that I can't seem to stand is Golf. But if we were talking about canadian sports, my favorite would be Hockey and my least favorite is Curling.
My favourite sport is volleyball. Next is football (soccer), formula 1.

Strangely enough, being a Canadian and all, Hockey is actually my LEAST favorite. It actually annoys me in the winter when a bunch of my classmates and teachers are arguing about the "best" team.
My favorite sport though, would definitely have to be Soccer. While I don't actually play for a team, any time I ever play it, I just love it.
