I've recently been on a road trip from the UK to Romania with a friend. It took us four days and three nights. Every morning we got up and went for a run for half and hour from whatever campsite we were staying at. The first one was on the French coast right next to the Belgian border so we ran along a fantastic beach into Belgium and back again. The second night we were in Germany not far from Nurnberg and the next morning we ran around a beautiful lake surrounded by wine groves. The third night was in Hungary near Gyor and the next morning we ran up to a amazing monastery which we found out was 1,000 years old and was a world heritage site. It was a great tour and very memorable. When we arrived in Romania, we did another run a few days later on the outskirts of Arad where we were staying - that was fab too. So, if you are a keen runner or like a jog every once in a while, what's your favourite place to run and why? Send us a description please!
Running - what's your favourite place to run?
I use to run in the forest. it's niice
Forests are great! You never know what to expect around the next corner...! Where I live we have a lot of woods and I do a great run that takes me through the woods to a large reservoir which I run around - it's about four miles. The best time to do it is at dawn - which, during the summer is about 5am - there's never anyone about and you'll catch the herons fishing for breakfast - it's fantastic and a really wonderful way to start the day.
it's not important where... but what i do like is to have someone that can match with me, and that i can match with, so as to not run by my self... i like to run with someone.
I agree - running with someone is great but I like running on my own too. It's about balance - I think you can get a lot more out of running with other people but for the peace and solitude, being alone with your own thoughts, running on your own is good - but it won't always be as beneficial for your fitness or to increase your performance levels as running with other people.
