Do u know Flash?
It wil be easier to do the fading animated GIFs in Flash!
Just convert images to movie clips in flash!
and create motion tweening!
you can export it as swf/GIF etc

(Otherwise send me the images! I'll do it for you)

use the visibly (opacity)to do that. That is
take the first frame of ur first image and extende it to 1 more frame .Set the opacity of the 1st frame to 100% in the layers pallete. Then in the nth frame (n is ur last frame of ur first pictuer)and set it 5%.make a tween between the two frames.Reapt this with rest of ur 3 images

Hope u understood my english(i am very bad in it)

With Photoshop/Imageready it is super easy. Just make sure each image is on its own frame, and turn visibility of for all frames except the first one. Now switch to Imageready. Click on the frames section, and add a new frame, change the visibilty to the next layer, and turn of the old one. Now click on the first, and shift click on the second. Click on Motion Tween and choose something like 10, then repeat. If you want black in between each image, then do that only do it with a black layer in between each of image. (If I confused you, just pm me, you can also give me the images, and I would be happy to do it for you, it would only take a few minutes).
