phpBB allowing HTML in sigs?

How do you do this? I have tried just about everything I know, and can't get it to work! If you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I could write a quick MOD to do this for you HOWEVER: it would be VERY insecure to do such a thing - basically you would open up your forum to any hackers by doing that!

Infact, its so easy to hack that kinda thing i think i might be able to do it myself.

I suggest you teach your members [bb] code - there is nothing which you could want to do with HTML that can't be done with [bb] - only hacking!

Well I was hoping people could display banners. Anyway is there a tutorial somewhere so I could learn that code? Thanks.

easy...the code is:

Code:

mathiaus
Other common bb codes - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode
When you make a post above the large textbox is bbcode help (the little boxes and dropdown).

I agree with the other post, bbcode is best way to go. In my FAQ I set up a how to for my guest and it seems to be helping them alot, since most want to display thier own banners and bars.

Hey thanks a lot! I didn't know that people could hack into websites through the forums and what not. I am still learning a bunch about this. Again thank you very much. This topic could be closed now...

Hehe...just before it gets closed:

Dont worry - you arent in any real danger of being hacked unless you change the way phpbb works (modifying the files in the root or admin directory), and even then it can only really harm you if you decide to do something that you dont have a clue what does.
