Installing Burning Board Lite

I am having problems installing burning board lite. I have uploaded all my files using FTP to my space. To start the install, you must locate the setup.php file using the adress bar. Once it's uploaded I am meant to go to:

http://myurl.frih.net/wbblite/acp/setup.php

when I do that I get a 404 file not found error, yet it's there, i've checked!

I also tried putting it in public_html and public_ftp and then trying to get to it through the adress bar and again the same error. What's the problem? On other hosts i've been able to install the board, so I don't see why this shouldn't work? I also made a MySQL Database so that's ready.. Please help ASAP! Thanks Very Happy

It needs to be in public_html, also for that url to work it (all the files and directorys of the script) needs to be in the folder called wbblite.

Still no provail.. I moved the wbblite folder back into the public_html folder and then tried it, same error? When you say all the scripts, what exactly do you mean? I uploaded the wbblite and all the wbblite files are in there, none are outside of this folder. Thanks for fast reply.

I realised I used the wrong url to access the public_html, but now I found the correct way. This time I used:

http://myurl.frih.net/domains/myurl.frih.net/public_html/wbblite/acp/setup.php

And still the same erro! This is really odd.

Yey! That worked! That's weird, the URL contained no refferance to public_html? Time to install! Thanks for your help! Very Happy

The public_html folder is the public folder that displays your site. Whatever files you put in there, are displayed to the public when you access your site.
