I think that the logo we have is just fine and dandy personally. Then again, I am more of a monochromatic kind of guy.
I suggest that you make said banner and place it for all to see and then we can make some more commentary on the situation.

Well it could be a different color and be monochromatic, but this one just fits the forum best.

I kinda like the logo as is. I mean, it's basic, but it's straight to the point. Well, the slogan is catchy and accurate. But yeah, they could use a color change. Maybe some psychadelic colors to match the font.
