"A British man is still under police guard in hospital after his son died and his daughter was injured when the trio plunged from a hotel balcony in Crete.
John Hogan's son, Liam, six, died from serious injuries he suffered in the incident at a holiday resort on the island's south coast.
The businessman's two-year-old daughter, Mia, suffered a broken arm and is in a stable condition in hospital.
Hogan, 32, of Bristol suffered a broken arm, leg and chest injuries and underwent surgery at the University General Hospital in Heraklion.
After the operation he was transferred to the hospital's intensive care unit, where his condition was said to be stable.

What makes someone do this? They must have been mad. Latest reports are that his wife asked for a divorce. He should have got rid of her, he still would have been able to enjoy life watching hos son grow up. But under the influenec of anti-depresants and holiday booze strange things happen to the mind.....I am very sad for the family and sad for him your life has just ended and you have to live through it.
