Assalamualaikum ... What country are you from?
Don't rely on TV for truth, good advice, yet you propose that the internet is a better source?
Um, guess I'm missing the point of this. An advertisement for Islam I suppose. Kind of weird, gives me the impression of "trying to take over the world." But that's just me.

Yes it's just you acting really horrible. No-one's trying to take over the world. So stop acting like it.
It's not an advertisment either. That's an insult.
My brother Muslim is simply giving everyone a hyperlink to see who this prophet is. People don't know much about him. Plus people might be interested after those insulting cartoons.
May God bless you.

Christens send out people to try and convert people around the world to there damed cult, Muslims doesn't. So who's trying to take over the world?
How about we try and be at least a little be respectful of other people's religion? I don't care if your Jewish, Muslim, Christian, or have created some new religion of your own, everyone deserves at least a little respect.
If I posted a hyperlink to Jesus I'd be so flamed that Hell would have no place for me.
Whatever, religion is overrated. The manmade Christianity is pathetic, manmade Islam is pathetic, manmade Judaism is pathetic.
Sorry for having an opinion, I forgot that that was not allowed here on Frihost.

Right... and I was told I was being harsh.
And uh, what do you call this post?
Who's trying to take over the world?
Well, that would be the truth - that would be God.
Cult? Last I checked more people call themselves christian than muslim. As for trying to take over the world, I do not believe that was the original poster's intentions, rather it was to expose more people to the teachings of Islam, which admittedly I do not know much about. That is also the intention of christian missionaries, that is, to spread the good news about man's salvation through Jesus, the messiah.

Thanks for the link, Abedalmged. I am a christian, but I was interested by the site you mentioned. I read a piece of the book and put a link to it on my site.
I also have a link for you. It's a christian link: it's about what the Qur'an says about Jesus. You might find it interesting.

As long as Christianity has a doctrine of eternal scape goats, damnation for the non believers and questioning the theology being a sin, it will remain a cult.
Missionary's objectives are not to inform people about Christianity, there objectives are to spread it and destroy all other religion's and make every one Christan. Muslims don't do that.
So again I ask, who is trying to take over the world?

Well it is good to know you aren't playing favorites and show distaste for all religions equally. And I'm not telling you not to have an opinion I'm just saying there are ways to express that with out being so, well, harsh. But again, I'm not here to tell you what to say or how to say it, just expressing my opinion on what's being said.
I remember being told that 50 years ago depression was a sin, an act of despair against God. now it's just a mental illness.
And the catholic church claimed the world was flat 500 years ago. At first the catholic church claimed it had knowlege of everything, from nature to the mind to the sciences. And after galileo it retreated to the supernatural, still claiming psychology as an understanding of the soul. Now it has to rethink what truth it still has beyond the mysterious unknown, so that all of it's revelations come down to a simple story of redemption, nothing more, it will no longer preach the soul because that will be psychology, the well-defined science of the mind. When the soul is no more, God becomes reduced to the abstract, ideals and mysteries. Then people will realise that blind faith is all it preaches. For "God is love" will change to "the heart is love" or "love is in the mind of the heart", people see love in themselves only.
And the catholic church will see it's worst dream come true. The apocalypse of the devil reemerging is just the people becoming self-aware, eating off the tree of knowledge and seeing God for what he really is, just pure psychology. After threating the loss of faith as sin, it comes back and they feel themselves threatened. The catholic church will lose its own faith. and Christ who we preach will come again may never ever come again.
Being a semi-devout Catholic I can honestly say that at the very least, the majority of the people who think the Catholic church has "problems" don't even understand any part of it at all.
Funny thing we tend to do - we do not know or understand something, so we assume it's wrong. I, like everyone else am guilty of this, but be careful about drawing conclusions about the Catholic Church... It was the original, true church. Then it met corruption, but where does it stand today? There has been a revival of the church, in my opinion, but too many people are stuck on the old.
And everyone says I am closeminded.
At any rate, apologies if the way I expressed my opinion made people feel bad, but let it be known that I'm not taking back what I said.
Lennon, I'm not quite sure what you arguement was for/against. Are you saying that all of Christianity is a lie and that Jesus will never come back as prophecied or that Religion in itself is a lie and that God was created by man or that simply Christianity is true but the Catholics have it wrong? I see that a lot of your points were directed at the catholic church, but you have to admit that they were fairly broad and could be aplied to most religions, well, Jesus doesn't figure in to Taoism or any like that too well, but you get my drift. So I guess I'm just asking for a little clairification/expansion of your thoughts.
