I have windows server 2003 and I am having a problem with the My Computer window hanging (search light goes back and forth). what can i do? Do I have to debug and how. I must also say that it had use the checkdisk function when I restart it. I had a power outage at the time it happened.

What do mean by install explorer, do mean re-install?

Search light going for a long period of time could also be a sign that your hard drive is starting to fail. Even new drives can fail. You might want to backup...
Could it be one of my hardrives? I have two.
I would try booting in safe mode, or trying system restore. Also find a free registry cleaner or something (i use Tuneup Utilities - google it). If that doesn't work, you can always reformat, as you have two hard drives. (are you running RAID?), i end up reformatting about once a month nowadays.
