[resolved] subdomains

this is probably a stupid question but from reading around i still dont
understand.

on the frihost home page, it says

1 free subdomain to be reachable in the whole world.


in DirectAdmin in my stats/logs it says
Quote:
# of SubDomains |0 | unlimited


so that tells me that i have unlimited subdomains but the homepage says 1 for free. which is correct?

btw, my url is: http://www.cyaneyed.frih.net .

Also, is it any different if i get a TLD for example, im planning to buy cyaneyed.biz, but will i still have unlimited subdomains or jus the one?

could somebody plz explain.

I think they mean a subdomain of frih.net.

Instead of using a domain, you are using the subdomiin cyaneyed.frih.net.

Just a guess, I'm not completely sure.

Yes, 1 free subdomain is <yourdomain>.frih.net (sub domain of frih.net)

In your Direct Admin, the sub domains it reffers to in there is a subdomain of your account.
<subdomain>.<yourdomain>.frih.net (Unlimated number of).

ahh, now i get it.

what is this ive read about buyin more subdomains, is that <subdomain>.frih.net as well?

Yep...

But.. thats just a surggestion placed forward by a frihoster. You cant buy extra subdomains... yet... i dont think it will happen though.

Even if it did, they wld all still point to the same site, so not to use up more space and bandwidth.
