I was searching around YouTube and I came across this interview with Weta (the people who did the animated stuff for LOTR) about the Evangelion live action movie project. Its nice to see they are actually excited and are working on it http://youtube.com/watch?v=gdnYPmd0lgs

I also came across the alertnate live action sequence for End of Evangelion. Pretty cool also. its in 2 parts

Hummm... that's probably something that will be worth watchging. Eva despite having a weird ending it's a fantastic anime. I think that, bearing in mind the great storry and plot of the anime, its pretty easy to imagine a huge hit coming soon !!

I believe pieces of those were used in Death and Rebirth, not End of Evangelion (well in as much as pieces of D&R are in End of...)

Also, that WETA interview was ages ago IIRC. There hasn't been a single word on the live action film now for almost a year (last press release was that ADV had raised HALF of the capital necessary to finance the film.)
